The Dreamy Series of Photographs Explores La Muralla Roja
Friends and photographers Michelle Cho and June Kim explored La Muralla Roja for the light-hearted series Other-On. The duo wove through the historic housing project on the Calpe coast, creating a series of composite images that activates the building’s striking facade and bright colors. This series represents, they say, “The feeling of being constantly in flux between various possible selves; in past, present, and yet to be.”
Built in 1968 by Ricardo Bofill, La Muralla Roja was built during the modernist push in architecture that guided many iconic mid-century buildings. Discover more from this generation of utopian architecture in our book The Tale of Tomorrow.
