When Peter Schreyer first started working on interiors, every element was modeled by hand. Even for something as small as an air vent, a drawing would be given to the model-making department, then a week or two later it would come back as a crafted wooden object, like the toys that Peter’s grandfather used to fashion in his workshop

Have a look at the Hyundai Intrado Concept by Peter Schreyer in Roots and Wings.
Although it is a mid-sized sedan, the New York Concept has a long hood and generous dash-to-axle ratio, which sets up the proportions and powerful stance. According to Peter Schreyer, the best angle to view the car is a rear three-quarter view. “It’s best for showing the elegant posture with powerful sculpted rear fenders,” he says.

The Kia POP concept car was a statement about the design possibilities of electric vehicles, made at a time when the first mass-produced electric cars had just started to appear. Peter Schreyer sought to push the envelope. “We wanted to show that electric cars didn’t have to be sober and emotionless,” says Peter. “Why not make something with real character?”
